Welcome to the Georgian Bay Photography Club
- Visitors always welcome -
It is with great sadness that one of our members, Dawn Lewis passed away on July 15, 2020.
Dawn was an active member of the Georgian Bay Photography Club for many years, and her passion was photographing birds. She absolutely loved birds. She once said it was the fine detail in the feathers that interested her. Dawn's Facebook page is 90% birds and 10% nature, from sunsets to flowers, hiking trails, deer, snakes, she very much enjoyed and respected nature.
She showed up late for a member’s meeting because herself and several others had spent a long winter day chasing a Trumpeter Swan back to safety. Dawn Lewis was second to nature.
On behalf of Dawn, the Georgian Bay Photography Club have made a donation to “Shades Of Hope Wildlife Refuge”. A wildlife refuge that treats injured and orphaned animals by providing veterinary care, proper nourishment, and a safe place to flourish until they can resume their rightful place in nature.
Dawn you have left us far too early. You now soar above us, with wings of your own. We will miss you.
